Catching up......Back to school!

So the first day of school was a few weeks ago and I have yet to post my pictures of that so I guess better late than never. But I decided I have so much to catch up on that I might as well start working on what happens from here on out or I will just never blog again. I may throw in a few old events so I have them for my own memories. But anyways here we go.... Luke and Ellie started school again a few weeks ago and Luke for one is really liking it. He is in first grade so that means all day long, it also means school lunch. His favorite so far is the pizza but if they don't like the main dish then they can have a yogurt or a pb and j...Almost everyday I ask him what he ate and its the same old... Yogurt and a chocolate milk. So healthy! He was also the star of the week this week so we got to make a poster all about him! He is in the Spanish immersion class so he has English half the day and the other half is all in Spanish. His Spanish teacher speaks almost no English so they have no choice but to learn it. He rarely speaks Spanish at home so to hear him speak it at school is hilarious, he has a little Spanish accent. He is doing really well with it and seems to be enjoying it.

Then there is Ellie, she reminded me a few weeks before school started that I cried when Luke went to Kindergarten and asked me if I was going to cry when she went. I said of course, it makes me sad when you will be gone during the day and that you are getting so big so fast. Well the first day of school came and they are all lining up to go in and I start getting emotional and then Ellie's melt down began..... Holy cow was it a nightmare! So needless to say my tears went away and the frustration kicked in. She was hanging on to my arm for dear life and was not about to go into that school without me. I was doing everything in my power to pry her off of me. Anyway I finally got her in and her bag hung up and I escaped. After she got home she told me how much fun it was and how she loved it. Then the next time we did the whole thing again, melt down and all! So now my dear friend Shannon takes her to school because I apparently cant...When I take her we have a complete come-apart but not even a single tear if Shannon does. Seriously I don't get it! Hopefully sometime soon I will be able to take my own daughter to school. Other than that, Ellie seems to be really liking it. She is also in the Spanish immersion program but she has the same teacher for both English and Spanish. She is more willing to speak Spanish at home, so it is fun to hear what she is learning. I cant believe how fast they are both growing and how smart they are!

Finally.....

My Bailey update....I cant believe it has taken me this long to get to her. She is already SIX months old! I think that she is my happiest baby yet, sure we have our moments but for the most part she is such a happy baby. I just love waking her up and to see her huge grin! As my friend Shannon says, she looks like she is going to turn inside out when she smiles. I love it.

She has this in-between faze when she is waking up that she is not quite all the way awake so she just tosses and turns so I have to just wake her all the way up and then she is all grins! She started rolling over a few weeks ago and can get across the room pretty dang quick! The other day I put her on one side of the room and went to change the laundry and came back to her on the other side of the room. I guess this means its time for me to start baby proofing the house. Its been awhile since I have had to worry about that stuff.

She also has started to giggle a little bit. If I tickle her tummy I can get a few little laughs out of her. She only does it for a second then I try and show somebody else and she is finished. I cant believe how fast she is growing, she is so much fun. It has been hard having such a gap and getting thrown back into the baby stage again, but I also think that I can enjoy her more this way. Maybe its because of the rocky start, but I just cant get enough of her. Neither can Luke and Ellie.....they cant walk past her without stopping to smooch her or just get in her face and love her! Luke has about a twenty minute limit between his Bailey fixes....he will be mid video game when he has to pause it and run into to just love her and squeeze her. Ellie on the other hand just doesn't leave her side. It is so much fun watching them all grow together!

Cute little stinker!!!

So I am finally getting around to doing my Ellie update. I dont know why it is so hard for me to update my own blog. I get so caught up reading everyone elses exciting lives! So here goes.....Ellie is getting so big! Everyone keeps commenting on how much she is growing up lately and I can so see it in the way her clothes are fitting! Not only is she looking older but suddenly she is like a 17 year in a five year olds body. You should hear some of the things she says to me lately! I swear I didnt get smarter than my mother until I was at least fifteen. If I say something she doesnt agree with me about she looks at me and says "Whatever Mother". The other day I did her hair and apparently she thought she was lookin pretty good cause I overheard her in the bathroom while staring in the mirror saying "oh my gosh I am sooo cute, soo cute" then she came out and gave me the talk to the hand sign and said...."you are so weird, mother."

Some days I swear I am going to pull my hair out! But then I watch her with Bailey and I melt! She is such a good big sister! I can see it in Baileys eyes that she already adores her big sister. Ellie loves to get her to sleep and somehow she can really do it....apparently Bailey likes to hear her sing Hannah Montana songs cause thats what we listen to all day long!

Its been so long since I have posted about her that I missed her 5th B-day. She of course had a Hannah Montana party and had a ton of little rock stars over. We played musical dots (like chairs, but with big polka dots), hot microphone, we made rock star glasses and lots of other fun things!

Ellie also finished up her last year of preschool, which means kindergarten is on its way. She graduated from Whiz Kidz and loved it! She also finished up her second year of dance and had the cutest recital ever. I love to watch her dance. She gets so nervous, but then just loves to be up on the stage! She asks all the time when her next "stage" is . She also insists that her Dad brings her flowers to all her recitals. I am not sure thats how it is suppose to work. o-well she Loves it!

Where do I even begin????

So I know its been a really long time since I have updated....I have been putting it off so long because I have so much to post, so now I dont know where to start.....I guess Luke would be a good place to begin.

Luke is such a obedient, good kid, sometimes I wonder where he came from. I think he came first so that I would even consider having any more!
He just finished his first season of machine pitch baseball. He had a ton of fun! I think the machine chucking balls at him was intimidating at first but by the end of the season he felt like a pro! Nate was the assistant coach so he ended up taking him to most of the games. The weather wasn't always that great, so a lot of the time I ended up staying at home with the baby..... Its a bit hard having such a age gap with my kids, I wish I could be in two places at once. I overheard him say one day that I didnt come to see very many of his games, so the next few games I parked next to the field and told him I would watch from the car so the baby wouldnt get rained on. Being the good sport he is, he was thrilled with that especially... if I gave him money after for the snack shack.

He has also lost three of the his four front teeth and the last one is so close to popping out (so close its grossing me out). We took him to the dentist for the first time a few weeks ago (yes I know he's six a bit late....I deserve the mom of the year award!) Once again Nate took him because I was home with the baby, so on the way to the dentist Nate promised him they were just going to clean his teeth and take some pictures. They wouldn't do any work at this apt, well once they got there the plan changed. The dentist decided one of his molars needed to come out. Nate explained to him the different methods numbing his mouth and pain relief. So he starts telling him that with the laughing gas they will put the mask on and him and he wont remember anything. Luke looked at him with a terrified look on his face and said "will I remember mom?" So sad....he really thought he wouldn't remember anything prior to having the gas.

He also just finished kindergarten and is so excited to start first grade. I'm not sure I am ready for him to be gone all day long. I cried my eyes out sending him to kindergarten for half a day so now doing the all day thing is going to really set me off. Its the beginning of the end! We have him in the greatest program at school, the Spanish immersion program. They teach half the day in Spanish, no English! It has been so fun to watch him learn. He doesn't speak much Spanish at home but when I go in for parent teacher meetings I am blown away! Its hilarious to hear the little accent he has. Here is a clip of their end of the year program.... (pause the music) Luke is the 5th one from the left in the brown shirt. The cute one!

Well now that its past midnight, I will have to continue tomorrow! I promise I am on a roll now! I will get the Ellie and Bailey updates asap. Especially for you Libby, since you think Bailey is a monkey!
