Back to Blogging

It has been way to long since I made a post on here. I was going through old posts the other day and it made me sad that I have missed so much. I have been planning on catching up forever and finally decided it is never going to happen so I will just start from here on out....

Easter 2010....We attempted to color Easter eggs on Saturday night and it turned into a huge mess as usual. Luke was busy playing video games so he would come drop a egg into the dye then leave to go play and come back a few minutes later to do another one. Ellie was of course into the glitter eggs and decked her eggs out in bling. Bay just didn't really understand the whole thing but is up for anything that her big brother and sister are doing. She ended up spilling the green dye all over her and i. She looked like she had little leprechaun feet.

The Easter bunny came that night and left Luke a suction cup bball hoop and a gum ball machine and Ellie some dangley earrings. (she is obsessed with big earrings) He brought Bay a bubble blowing machine in hopes that it could blow bubbles for her so she could stop dumping out the whole bottle of bubbles. But we found out you can still spill the bubbles in the machine. The kids had a great time hunting for eggs, but have become selective on which candy they are willing to put in their baskets. If it isn't there favorite they just skip over it and go for the best candy. This year the Easter bunny had to make sure the candy was up high enough that the dog couldn't get it, but he still managed to follow Bay around waiting for Bay to drop a piece of two.

We had a fun day spending the afternoon at my parents for a yummy dinner and hanging out with my sister Melindas family, then spent the evening at Nates parents for more food and Birthday celebrations for Katie and Zach.

New Moon coming soon...

Yes..it's been awhile! A lot has happened in the past nine months, I know I know I could be ready to give birth it's been that long. (Don't worry I'm not) I figured since my review of New Moon would be coming out soon, I better post something about what is going on in our lives. I would try and catch up but really who has time to review the last nine months. Let's just stick with the summer.

We spent some time at the Lake...

Luke turned 8, so we had a backyard movie party!

Last but not least Luke and Ellie started school today!

Since you all know how much I loved Twlight HERE is the trailer for New Moon!

Twilight!! I LOVED it!!!

One of my friends got tickets to the early Twilight premiere so we got to see the movie before it came out at midnight. OH my GOSH!! I LOVED IT!! I was worried that the movie would not do the book justice, but it SO did! Bella was perfect, they couldn't have found a better Bella. At first I was leary of the actor they had playing Edward, but by the end of the movie I was in love with him! It was perfect! I want to go see again and again. I actually have not read the last book yet, and now I am dieing to go get it and read it cover to cover! Anyway had to post how much I loved the movie! I want to see it again and cant wait till the next one comes out! If you haven't seen it by now, stop what your doing and go!

Trick or Treating!

We had so much fun on Halloween....Luke dressed up as Frankenstein and Ellie was (of course) Hannah Montana and Bailey was a ghost. I searched everywhere for a costume that Luke liked and found nothing. My friend finally mentioned I could make up one. Duh, why didn't I think of that. So we decided to be frugal and rip up some old clothes and paint his hair and face. But then we couldn't figure out how to get some bolts to attach to his neck. So the same friend (Shannon) found me some bolts at a costume store that happened to be $10 per bolt. So the thrifty costume ended up adding up quickly.
The $10 bolts!
Then there was the Hannah costume....for this costume I wanted to find things that she would wear again. Great idea in theory, but if you know Ellie you know that getting her dressed is quite the ordeal....Everything bugs her. Her pants are to loose, or her tag on her shirt is itching her or her shoes hurt, its always something! So, so much for wearing any of it again!
The boots that will never be worn again, cause they give you blisters if you refuse to wear socks with them! Good thing she is cute!!!
Then here is our little our little ghost!

Carving pumpkins

I got this great idea to carve pumpkins as a family. So I went and got this great kit, that comes with all the cutting tools, candles and these great patterns so you can do the fancy carvings. The kids went through the patterns and each picked one. A few minutes into it I realized this wasn't going to be a quick little project. Nate carved a ghost for Luke and I carved a cat for Ellie. By the end of the night, Ellie had gone to time out three times and I threatened to throw the pumpkins in the road and run over them with the car. I guess I learned my lesson and we will do plain old jack o lanterns next year. Apparently I am not a very skilled pumpkin carver. Who knew?

Bailey is sitting up!

Bailey is getting so big....She started sitting up a few weeks ago. She is so much more content being able to sit up and play with toys.

My friends little boy Tyce just loves Bailey. It is the cutest thing! Every time he sees her he gets so excited and just wants to smooch her. You can just see the excitemnent in his face and he cant decide the best way to get close to her. The other day he came over and she was sitting up all by herself and he was too funny. He ran over to her and hugged her and and planted a big wet one on her forehead then pushed her down so he could get a better angle on her.
Bailey also had another first this month, her first big fall! She has been rolling for awhile now, so I have been careful not to leave her on the bed or just out of my sight at all. Well the other day she woke up extra early so I had her in laying by me in my bed (not that she doesnt end up there all the time). Anyway she was wiggling all over and I was trying to keep my eyes open when I heard a loud thud. I guess I fell asleep for a second and she fell off the bed. What a sick feeling! Nate was in the shower and came out to find out what the loud noise was. I felt so bad! But somehow she managed to survive and hasnt had any thing major happen since!
